This is an information note pursuant to article 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 (Personal Data Protection Code), provided for people who interact with the Mont Blanc Tunnel web. The information note has been prepared solely and exclusively with respect to the GEIE-TMB and does not concern other websites that may possibly be consulted by the user through links.  The information note is also based on Recommendation n° 2/2001 that the European authorities for personal data protection, meeting as the Working Party instituted by article 29 of Directive n°95/46/EC, adopted on 17 May 2001 in order to identify certain minimum requirements for collecting personal data on-line, and, in particular, the mode, timing and nature of the information that Data Controllers must provide to users when they connect to web pages, regardless of the purpose of the connection.

No data taken by the web service is communicated or circulated to outside concerns. Personal data provided by users who forward specific requests for information is used solely for the purpose of carrying out the service requested.

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

The computer systems and software processes put in place to operate this website acquire in the course of normal use some personal data the transmission of which is implicit when using internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected for association with identified interested parties, but that by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or the domain names of computers used by users of the site, addresses in URI notation, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the user’s request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server, and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computer environment. This data is used solely for the purpose of anonymous computer statistics concerning site usage, and to check that this is functioning correctly, and is erased immediately after processing has been carried out. The data might be used to ascertain responsibility in the case of hypothetical computer crime to harm the site: except for this eventuality, data regarding website contacts is not kept for more than three days. The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses listed on this website involves the acquisition of the sender’s address, which is necessary for replying to their requests, as well as any personal data contained in the mail. The persons allowed to link to this website are the GEIE-TMB business customers that have signed a contract “post payment”. Their data will be processed in specific contract.
